Works if you’re desperate and have money to burn

I’ve been taking an alli pill with lunch and dinner for the past 7 months. It’s not a miracle drug, but I suppose it helps slightly. You do occasionally see the oily deposits in your toilet. I eat a lot of carbs so it probably doesn’t help me as much. I personally didn’t have any accidents/crap myself like many people are talking about, even after eating meals very high in fat.
This is one of those drugs where you know the makers of it are manufacturing this stuff dirt cheap and marking up the price to unreasonable rates. They know Americans will pay anything to be able to eat “what they want” and “still lose weight”. If you open the capsule you will see hardly anything inside, you have to wonder what you’re paying for. I didn’t experience any oily deposits for the first 1+ month and thought I received a “defective” bottle so I called the # on the bottle (I think it’s GlaxoSmithKline or something) and waited 45+ minutes listening to the music recording before giving up. Impossible to get a hold of.
I’m really not sure why I keep buying this stuff, the price is pretty ridiculous considering they absolutely must make a bottle for less then a dollar…

After i started using Alli, i have started four other people using it. not much to add to this. To be brutally honest, i tell my friends who want to lose weight who consider using alli, “after you ‘eat fat’ you either wear it, or you can flush it.” Then they can decide for themselves. This product WORKS.

Ordered this product and never received it. Contacted Amazon’s Customer Service only to receive a standard letter and no help or assistance contacting the postal service from their end. One only had to look at the tracking information to see the product never left shipping after being logged in. Oh yea, they did offer to refund my money if I waited a certain length of time to see if the package arrived.

Recently I purchased a bottle of Alli. I love the Alli diet pill. It works, no doubt about it. Use it in combination with a low fat diet and you will lose about 5 lbs a month, at least thats how it worked for me two different times. Its a great diet pill. My only beef: This last time I ordered it was too long of a wait for delivery. I waited about two weeks. When you are about to run out of the pill and order it you should receive it within one wk. Two weeks is entirely tooooo long. I didn’t have any pills for about a week and a half. Knocked me off my diet.

I thought I would post this info that took me hours to find at Universal Drugstore dot com.
A doctor recommended I try Alli rather than an appetite supressant (I had requested an FDA approved prescription rather than risk ill effects of over the counter or those found online with possible origins in Asia) that speeds heart/raises BP. The good thing about Alli is that doubling the standard dose is the equivalent of the $400 drug, Xenical. Same results. Same medication.
However, I generally eat quite healthy — never eat fried foods, or rich fatty foods, no pastries or desserts. However, I do intake too many calories of carbs and as of the holidays, sugary calories as well. I explained this to my doctor.
After the holidays, I’ve resumed my typical diet of non-fat sources of food, lean meats, fiberous veggies and for treats, fruit and Kashi bars. However at night, when I want a snack, I eat too many calories for my final meal. One of my favorite treats is Jello pudding made with nonfat milk after dinner.
Combined with being mostly sedentary on the job, I’ve gained 15 lbs since October. Upon researching this product, it only works for those who consume more fat than I currently intake.
In fact, if I followed their ([...]) 1200 calorie diet (online) I would have to modify, albiet worsen, my diet where the caloric breakdown of their site 1200cal menu would leave me with over 9% of my calories coming from fat (where I strive to stay below 6 currently) and carb intake of 50% of my calories, protein would be 18% of my calories and sugar intake would be significantly over what I normally allow for myself. My calories are roughly 30 Fat-30 carb-40 protein currently.
Xenical doesn’t work unless you intake “fat-based calories.” I guess what I need is an appetite suppressant…despite what the doctor suggested.

I really like these diet pills. Different that others I have tried in that you know it is getting rid of some of the fat that you intake. You still have to watch what you eat and get excercise for any diet plan to work. It’s not a miracle pill, but it helps.

I started using ALLI three weeks ago after I read all the reviews on Amazon.com. Based on the reviews, this is what I did:
1) Reviewers stated that taking Alli causes gas but after the body became acclimated to it, the digestive system would produce less gas. Based on this information, I started out by taking 1 Alli pill a day after my heaviest fat meal. I continued this for the first week of my diet. The second week I took two Alli pills a day (once for breakfast and once for dinner). The net effect was that my body did produce some extra gas, but not a lot of excess gas.
2) Reviewers stated that taking Alli could cause an oily discharge. Other reviewers claimed that consuming a high-fiber supplement would stop the oily discharge from occuring. So I bought ProFibe (also available from Amazon.com) and started taking one scoop a day. After three weeks, I have never experienced an oily discharge.
3) Reviewers stated that they needed a mini-pad in their underwear to prevent accidents. You can also use a few squares of toilet paper stuffed into your butt. It’s a little uncomfortable at first, but it works.
I have now lost 5 pounds in three weeks (from 205 lbs to 200 lbs). I am taking only two Alli pills a day (breakfast and dinner) and I am happy with the results. I also walk between 3 to 6 miles a day.

For a Latino, it is very difficult to support a diet low in fat, since our daily food contains high levels of this one. But with this tablet, a little of willpower, exercise, and supporting a diet low in fat it is possible to do it. Thanks to all this, I did it. For a long time, I had tried to lose weight, but I had never achieved it, but all change when I took the decision to take ALLI. Thanks to Alli I lost 50 pounds in only three months.

Believe me, I have tried many of products before, just trying to get rid of 20 – 25 lbs. and this is by far the best. My son is also taking it and we both are seeing the results and are very happy with this product. you have no jitters no mood swings no heart palps. It is like taking your daily vitamin except with results. I enjoy this product. I think it is best if people follow the product directions very strictly. This is a medication and should be treated as such. Also, people should not consider it an end/all be/all for weight loss. It is a great product to help you lose weight. You will need to eat right, control your portions and get a good work out in each day. All of that PAIRED with Alli can help you lose more weight than without it. I find it to work well for me, and the “threat” of stomach cramping or other “undesirable side effects” is sort of an incentive not to eat foods too high in fat. It works for me!

Never trust a fart. Took the pills for one month and lost zero weight. It simply did not work for me. But it gave me terrible gas, with oily discharge. I think i will try something else. Glad it works for others, but just not for me.
